The African impala is a particular animal. If you were aware of it, you would be aware that it can jump up to nine meters forward and nearly three meters when standing still.

Even though the wall around this African impala in a zoo is only a meter high, it never attempts to jump over it. The impala feels it cannot move forward unless it can see what is ahead, according to research done to determine why it does not jump.

We experience the same thing. Because we want to see everything through to the end, we are reluctant to take the first step when we cannot see the path ahead. However, the reality is that there is a far more expansive path ahead than what is currently visible.
You ought to make that initial move. Although we can not actually see the last step when we first begin climbing stairs, you eventually reach it as you proceed step by step.
